Description

These two-measure figures use the same moves as the comparable figures on A major, only they originate with an A minor chord.

Here are the steps for the Amsus4 figure:

First: Start by making an A minor chord, then add your pinky to the 3rd fret of the 2nd string. This creates the Amsus4 chord. Play Variation #1 in this position, avoiding the high E string in your fingerpicking.

Next: Begin the next measure with a pinch of the bass note and the 2nd string, while at the same time doing a pull-off with your pinky, returning you to a normal A minor chord.

Finally: Finish out the measure by completing the pattern on the A minor chord, continuing to avoid the high E string.

Here are the steps for the Amsus2 figure:

First: Start by making an A minor chord, then lift your index finger off the 2nd string so the 2nd string is now open. This is the Amsus2 chord. Play Variation #1 of the 4-step pattern, in this position, avoiding the high E string altogether. This is measure 1 of this figure.

Next: Begin the next measure with a pinch of the bass note and the 2nd string, while at the same time hammering onto the first fret of the 2nd string with your left index finger.

Finally: Finish out the measure by completing the pattern on a Am chord, continuing to avoid the high E string.
