Description

These two-measure figures use the same moves as the comparable figures on D major, only they originate with a D minor chord.

Here are the steps for the Dmsus4 figure:

First: Start by making a D minor chord, then add your pinky to the 3rd fret of the 1st string. This creates the Dmsus4 chord. Play Variation #1 in this position.

Next: Begin the next measure with a pinch of the bass note and the 1st string, while at the same time doing a pull-off with your pinky, returning you to a normal D minor chord.

Finally: Finish out the measure by completing the pattern on the D minor chord.

Here are the steps for the Dmsus2 figure:

First: Start by making a D minor chord, then lift your index finger off the 1st string so the 1st string is now open. This is the Dmsus2 chord. Play Variation #1 of the 4-step pattern, in this position. This is measure 1 of this figure.

Next: Begin the next measure with a pinch of the bass note and the 1st string, while at the same time hammering onto the first fret of the 1st string with your left index finger.

Finally: Finish out the measure by completing the pattern on a Dm chord.
